Brylinski Research is a science and engineering R&D company in the Boston area.  We do our own R&D and a variety of consulting projects.  We work on technology for data, networks, information and computing. We are developing, with partners, various enterprises, including start-up companies.

Our passion is (1) doing pure and applied research in mathematics, physics, and computer science, and (2) using science to find new ways to understand and engineer information processing systems and next-generation computing systems. We have very broad definitions of what such systems may be. For example a social network such as Twitter is both, and a network of cells is both.

We work on incredibly interesting problems involving data and networks which are complex and/or large-scale.  We are fascinated by the theoretical issues and practical ambitions of new paradigms in computer engineering, particularly in quantum computing.

Visit Brylinski Sci, our blog on pure and applied science.

We are extremely interested in the development and applications of social technology, and we are creating SoclMind.com.

About Us. Brylinski Research is owned by Ranee Brylinski and Jean-Luc Brylinski. We are two married mathematical scientists. Ranee has a PhD in Mathematics from MIT, and Jean-Luc has a DEtat in Mathematics from the University of Paris. We were both math professors for twenty years, first at Brown and later at Penn State, where we co-directed the Center for Geometry and Mathematical Physics. We founded Brylinski Research in 2003 and work together full time on R&D based in math, physics and computer science.
